Based on the principals of converting and recycling waste streams whilst removing CO₂ from the atmosphere through carbon capture and mineralisation, Nu-Rock’s engineered rock technology has many ‘game changing’ future applications for the building and construction industries.

In addition to revolutionising the world of Blocks, Bricks, Pavers and Aggregates, Nu-Rock Building Products Australia will be announcing the arrival of more green products at the completion of the R&D development and testing stage.

Groundbreaking Research and Development

Nu-Rock’s R&D process is incredibly robust and involves extensive lab and in-field testing plus the Nu-Rock Technology team works closely with industry bodies and academic institutions to ensure all Industry Standards and Requirements are met and then exceeded.

Sheeted Products

Nu-Rock sheeted products will represent a lighter and more environmentally friendly alternative to sheeted products such as Plaster board. The Nu-Rock product will be water resistant, and fire rated and have a thermal value superior to Gypsum products.

Precast Exterior wall panels

Nu-Rock wall panels will be stronger and lighter than conventional concrete panels. Transporting Nu-Rock wall panels and manoeuvring them on site will be considerably easier, safer and quicker. As a result of Nu-Rock wall panels being up to 50% lighter the Steel volume required in building structures will reduce by up to 40% resulting in a greatly reduced carbon footprint for each Nu-Rock building.

Roof Tiles

Nu-Rock roof tiles will be 100% sustainable and will be environmentally friendlier and lighter by up to 50% compared to traditional concrete, slate, steel sheeted and clay roofing. Nu-Rock roof tiles will also be more durable and more thermally efficient than any alternative roofing.

Fire Rated Steel Structures

Nu-Rock’s “Formulated Rock” has an extremely high Thermal Rating. It is also over 50% lighter and will bond to steel far better than traditional Vermiculite materials. These superior performance characteristics are perfectly suited for precast/pre-sprayed fire rated structural steel column and beam systems. Nu-Rock’s Sprayable Fire Rated materials are superior in strength, durability and 100% sustainability will make Green Fire Rated Steel.
